DashPoint ("DashPoint", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and safeguard personal data when you use the DashPoint mobile application and related services (the "Platform").

- Preferred username
- Email verification status
- Account creation and signup date

- Check-in location (latitude and longitude) when attending events
- Check-in location (latitude and longitude) when a ticket is scanned
Location data is collected only in connection with event participation and platform functionality. We do not continuously track your location.

- Device model
- Operating system and version
- App version
- Platform (iOS or Android)
- IP address
- User agent
1.5 Payment & Transaction Data
- Stripe customer ID
- Payment method details (processed and stored by Stripe)
- Purchase history
- Refund history
DashPoint does not store full payment card details. All payment processing is handled by Stripe.
1.6 Health & Dietary Information
- Allergy information
- Allergy severity
This information is provided voluntarily to support event safety and organiser awareness.
1.7 Activity & Behaviour Data
- Events attended or RSVP'd
- Event check-in times
- App usage and in-app actions
- App launch history
1.8 Social Features
- Friends list
- Friend requests and connections
1.9 Preferences
- Favourite activities
- Club or community memberships
- Loyalty points and rewards data

- Net Promoter Score (NPS) responses
- Written feedback and survey submissions

- IP address used at the time of agreement
2. How We Use Your Data
We use personal data for the following purposes:

3. Data Sharing & Third Parties

- Stripe – payment processing and refunds
- AWS (including Cognito) – authentication, hosting, and infrastructure
- Google Places – location and place data
- Apple & Google Push Notification Services – app notifications
These providers process data on our behalf and are contractually required to protect it.
3.2 Event Organisers
Where relevant, limited user information may be shared with event organisers to support event delivery, safety, and attendance management.
3.3 Analytics, Insights & Brand Partners
DashPoint may share:
- Aggregated and anonymised data
- Non-identifiable user insights
- Participation and engagement trends
with trusted brand partners, sponsors, and event partners for analytics, reporting, and partnership purposes.
DashPoint does not sell personal data.
4. Legal Basis for Processing
Under UK GDPR, we process personal data based on one or more of the following legal grounds:
- Performance of a contract (providing the Platform and services)

8. Children & Under-18s
Most events on DashPoint are intended for users aged 18 and over.
Where an event is explicitly listed as under-18 appropriate:
- A parent or legal guardian must consent on behalf of the minor.
- We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors without appropriate consent.
9. International Data Transfers
Data may be processed or stored outside the UK where necessary to operate the Platform. Where this occurs, appropriate safeguards are applied in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
